Last Updated on January 10, 2023
One Nought One (Agency) is committed to providing our clients with high-quality, efficient website development solutions. This policy outlines our website development services' general process, expectations, and terms for our website development services, specifically focusing on the scope of work.

Project Information and Discovery

Client Meeting: We begin with a thorough consultation to understand your business goals, target audience, website vision and desired functionalities. This includes discussions about content strategies, User Experience (UX) and Technical Requirements, any specific integrations with existing systems, e-commerce functionalities, content management system (CMS) needs, or security considerations.
Scope of Work: Based on the initial meeting, we will outline a detailed project scope document outlining features, functionalities, timelines, and costs. Finally, a formal proposal outlining the agreed-upon scope, timeline, and fees will be presented for your approval.

Website Development Process
Information Gathering: We will work closely with you to gather content, including text, images, videos, and other elements required for your website.
Design and Development: Our team will design and develop your website following industry best practices and W3C standards for accessibility and responsiveness. This phase includes developing an information architecture and defining the website's structure and organisation to ensure easy navigation and content discovery. If a CMS is chosen, integrate your website with the platform for easy content management.
Content Integration: We will integrate your provided content into the website's design layout, ensuring proper formatting, image optimisation, and adherence to SEO best practices.

Third-Party Integration: Developing connections with any necessary third-party applications or systems.
Testing and Launch: The website will undergo rigorous testing to ensure functionality and responsiveness across various devices and browsers.

You are responsible for promptly providing all necessary content for your website.

-
We require your timely feedback and approvals throughout development.

We will assign a dedicated project manager, who will act as a Single Point of Contact (SPOC) between the development team and the client to oversee the project and ensure effective communication between the Agency and the Client.

-
Our team will develop your website using industry-standard technologies and best practices.

-
We will thoroughly test the website's functionality and responsiveness before launch.

-
We may provide optional training on basic website content management.

Revisions and Change Orders
The project scope typically includes limited revisions. Revisions refer to minor adjustments within the agreed-upon project scope. These typically involve:
-
Font size adjustments, colour scheme refinements, or layout optimisation within the approved scope of work
-
Grammar corrections, factual updates, or minor copy revisions within existing website content. Adding or removing internal or external links.
-
Fine-tuning existing features to improve User Experience (UX) or User Interface (UI) without introducing new functionalities.
Any unprecedented changes to the Scope of Work (SoW) may require issuing a change order with an adjusted timeline and cost. Change orders are formal requests outlining any significant deviations from the agreed-upon project scope. These may involve:

-
Introducing new features, implementing or modifying the e-commerce functionality, adding a contact form, or integrating with a new social media platform.
-
Completely revamping the website's visual identity or layout beyond the agreed-upon project scope and existing design frameworks.
-
Connecting the website with additional software or services beyond those initially discovered or discussed in the Client Meeting.
-
If the content required for the website is substantially higher than initially estimated.
To process revisions or change orders, the client must initiate clear communication via known channels, such as raising a support ticket via feedback form or emailing us the new requirements. A transparent approach to revisions and change orders benefits both the agency as well as the client and helps maintain control over project direction and budget. By managing expectations and outlining potential changes, we can work together to achieve a website that meets your evolving needs. One Nought One is committed to clear communication and managing scope creep. We will work with you to ensure changes are well-defined and their impact is fully understood.

Warranties and Guarantees
The agency warrants that the website will be free from coding errors and function as specified in the project scope document. However, we cannot guarantee compatibility with all future browsers and devices due to the ever-evolving nature of web technologies and potential third-party software conflicts.
